I was wondering, why do you want to go back and help the confederates win the Civil War?

1.If I were to go back in time, I would enjoy meeting Jesus and ask what he really is all about.  I would also like to interview some of his followers to see what they really though about their Savior.

2. Simply "why are we here?"

3.Truthfully, my most prized possession is my ability to do practically anything I like.  I am glad for my health, and my fingers to continue playing intruments.

4.I am not sure about my favorite book, but I enjoy Lord of the Rings and Garden State for movies.  And my favorite music artist is probably Kurt Cobain for reasons I really would not like to indulge.  So get your laughs out now.

1. If i could go back in time I would choose to go back to when WWII (late 1930's - mid 1940's). I would like to meet "FDR" and Adolf Hitler. I would ask Franklin Roosevelt how he felt under the pressure of being president during World War 2, and as for Hitler I would ask him the reason for his killing of many people when he could have used his knowledge and power to do more good than bad.
2.The most confusing question for me to think about is if there is another Earth somewhere else in our galaxy or in another, and if the people there are trying to find us like we are trying to find them.

3. I would say my computer is my most prized possession because it holds and allows me to access a lot of things that are important to me like music, the internet, word documents, instant messaging programs, etc.
4. Well I really can't say that I have a favorite music artist because im open minded on the kind of music that I listen to but for oldies I really like The Who and Journey, and for modern music I like Senses Fail, Secondhand Serenade, and Relient K. My favorite movie for the time being would have to be the Dark Knight because I think it was very well performed.  Finally my favorite book would have to be The Giver because for the whole book it had me thinking about different things like the perfect world and such.

I take it you have read "Two Little Girls in Blue" then? Isn't that an odd style for her, or do you think it is slightly like that book about the girl with schitzoprenia?
Did she write that book? hmm Sorry I don't know if that was her, but if it is do you know the title of it??

Thats tough, considering what others wrote, but the best I can think of is that I would go back to the time of the Roanoke colony to see how they lived and why they disappeared.

2) What is the most confusing thought/question you have ever had? Why do I feel this way? Mainly based on crushes and why people have so many, and what emotions those are based on. Because all relationships seem to start with crushes.

3) What is your most prized possession and why?
That would be my friends and family, because I couldn't stand life without them.

4) What is your favorite book, movie, and music artist (at least right now)?

I would go back to the mid 60s, probably 65' and meet my idol Eusébio. He was in the prime of his soccer career. I would just want to spend time with him on the pitch and just learn from him and become a better player.

History-wise, I would go back to Mayan times. I've always been fascinated by the Mayan culture, specifically how they collapsed. I would go back and see exactly this advanced civilization suddenly collapsed and disappeared.

2) What is the most confusing thought/question you have ever had?

Probably just about life itself. The reason(s) for existence, etc...

3) What is your most prized possession and why?

Honestly, my body and health. Sure, material things are great and all, but without health, it doesn't matter what you have, there's no point without the strength to use them.

4) What is your favorite book, movie, and music artist (at least right now)?

My favorite movie is The Dark Knight

1) If you could go back in time, who would you choose to meet and what would you ask or do?
Probably go way back and watch lightning strike the protein groups or however it was life began on our funny little planet.
That, or rub elbows with Elliott Smith in 2000.
2) What is the most confusing thought/question you have ever had?
You know, not to sound cliched, but wondering which of the weird questions I've thought about (meaning of life, whether human nature is fundamentally good or bad, how I or anyone else could attain significance in such a short lifespan in such an immense planet, never mind universe, etc) is pretty hard.
3) What is your most prized possession and why?
I'm going to go on a similar direction to Kevin here and say my sense of humor.  I agree with the lack of need for material things, but part of my perception and comprehension of the world around me runs through it.  I'd be a rather different person if I didn't find so many things subtly amusing.

4) What is your favorite book, movie, and music artist (at least right now)?

I have a difficult time choosing favorites, but for book, Slaughter-House Five by Kurt Vonnegut was pretty awesome.  It's about a guy who lives his life in the wrong order, kind of like somebody setting the scenes of a movie to random on a DVD player.  For movie, Donnie Darko.  It's the perfect mix of incomprehensible oddness, psychologists, dark humor, and six-foot tall creepy rabbits.  For music artist, I've been going heavy on Versus (indie pop yay), Shellac (the most charmingly bitter band I've ever heard of), and Sonic Youth (from the late 80's-early 90's, the somewhat spacey stuff) lately.

I said that marx and hitler were the most famous people in communist history. I never said hitler was communist. He was actually very anti-communist, but he was influenced profoundly by the works of marx.

I totally agree with you that mao, trotsky, engels, etc. were more important to communist history, i was just saying that because hitler was the first person that came to mind that had some connection, i did some quick research, on che, and he read a lot of trotsky and engels, kudos to you for catching that.

I would tell them exactly how it was all going to play out ahead of time so they were aware. If they knew that the Union soldiers were coming when they marched into gettysburg they could have marched around the Union Army and taken up the Union's positions such as Little Round Top and Devil's Den. Then they could either attack the Union, or keep marching on to Washington and possibly to victory/freedom. And if they failed to win  the war then they deserved to lose since there would be no Army between them and Washington D.C.

1.)  If I could go back in time, I would go back to the late 1800's. To meet with one of my favorite artists, Edgar Degas, a well known Impressionist during the 1860's to the early 1900's. I would ask him to include a portrait of me in one of his art pieces of young women dancing usually of ballerina's.

2.)  The most confusing thought/question I've ever had would have to be about death, and what really happens when you die. So many people have different views on the issue. I wish I could actaully meet a dead person and ask what it's like. (even though that will never happen!)

3.)   My most prized possession would have to be my great grandmothers necklace. I got it when I turned sixteen.

4.)   My favorite book would have to be The Giver. My favorite movie would be The Little Princess, its been my favorite since I was 6 and its staying that way! My favorite artist right now would have to be The Ting Tings, all their songs are on my recent playlist.

1. If I could go back in time, I would choose to meet Martin Luther. His ideas were revolutionary, and he fought against what he thought was wrong in the Church. I would like to ask him what it felt like to stand up for what he believed in, and why he never took back what he said, knowing that he could be put to death for his beliefs.

2. What purpose do we serve living here on Earth? (Looking at the big picture.)

3. This may sound cliche, but my most prized possession would be my family. To me, a prized possession is something that cannot be replaced after it is lost. A phone, an iPod, etc., can all be replaced. You can't replace loved ones.

4. Currently: My favorite books would have to be The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, and The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway. My favorite movie is The Shawshank Redemption, and one of my favorite music artists is Minus The Bear.

1.  If I could go back in time and meet one person it would be Babe Ruth.  Even though I am a Red Sox fan and he was traded to the Yankees I still consider him one of the greastest players in the game.  I wouldn't really know what to ask him but I would enjoy to watch him take batting practice or watch him in a game.

2.  Is it really a myth that we only use a very small percentage of your brain, somewhere around 5-10% or do we use a full 100%.

3.  My most prized possession is a homerun ball a Los Angeles Angel player hit during batting practice before a Red Sox/Angels game.

4.  At the time my favorite book is The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien.  My favorite movie is armageddon and favorite music artist is maroon 5.

Correction. Babe Ruth was SOLD to the Yankees so the Red Sox owner at the time could produce a play on broadway that ended up TANKING BIG TIME

I don't think what team a person played on would change whether they are good or not. Meeting Babe Ruth would be pretty cool whether or not he was playin for the Soxs or not.

It's the whole 100%.  Some regions "specialize" a bit on certain processes, but there's no junk space. Just about everything we do requires a couple different regions to cooperate.  That's not to say everything about the brain is known or even close to known, especially to me, but neuroscientists are certain we use every little bit of it at one point or another.

2. The most confusing thought/question I have ever had would be: If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, how many pickled peppers did Peter Piper pick? First of all who is Peter Piper? Second, why does everyone want to know about his peppers? Third, can you pick pickled peppers? And also, can you determine the definite amount of peppers Peter Piper did actually pick? 1 U.S. peck is equal to 8.80977 litres. (Not Kidding) Therefore, wouldn't the number of peppers vary upon size? Confusing is it not?

3. I have a few prized possessions I suppose. One of them would be a piece of the Roman Colosseum given to me by a dear friend of mine (don't ask who or how). Another is not actually my possesion, but a group belonging. It is a traveling can of SPAM. It has been to places like Australia, Italy, England and Austria. I just find it to be quite interesting.

4. My favorite book would have to be...well I don't know exactly. I've read some good ones lately though I assure you. My favorite movie right now isn't really a movie.. Band of Brothers. And I could never pick a favorite music artist without filling a half a page so instead I'll just do a little shout out to my cousin's band instead: Family Force 5.

Degas portraits of ballerina's are so nice, and he is French like me so I particulary like his work.

And OMG I love The Little Princess, aww but are you talking about the Shirly Temple version or the 1995 Warner Bros. film with Leisel Mathews? Because the one with Leisel Mathews has a much better soundtrack, mostly done by an orchestra.

Who are the Ting Tings by the way??
