I'm not entirely sure what sort of depth or length the project has to have to it, but this is what I've got so far:

Classroom lesson for - Discrimination
     * Classroom Setting:  Students in a small environment.  Things are close together, and everyone has a chance to be in the discussion.

An Idea would be to pass out some information about anyone and everyone that's at all involved in civil rights and anti-discrimination. King, Malcom X, whatever you've got.  Just a small summary of what they did and how they changed the country and the global outlook on diversity and stopped discrimination.

Make it be known that discrimination isn't just somthing that happens to african americans, It can happen to someone of any race, color, or sex.  It's not just a Black and White Issue.

Ask the students if they've ever encountered discrimination of any kind, whether it be their own experience, or they've seen/heard it happen with someone else.  Discuss these events and what sort of discrimination this is.

D period

My goal for today is to teach you about increasing awareness, teaching tolerance, and promoting diversity, ending discrimination and ending harassment. These are for grade 9-12 only.

  1. Increasing awareness
In this first lesson you will learn how to increase awareness; student will go outside and ask the peers question like how they feel about prejudice, discrimination, and intorence, hate crimes.
  1. Teachers would have to relate to the students by talking about race in there class English and history. Teachers need to respect differences in there class and take time to learn more about the student. If a student doesnt want to learn still take the chance and get to know the student in a personal level.
  2. In every engish and history class teachers should have more projects and  signment  for the student to share there culture and for them to discovered there cultural identity and learning values that would help them in life.
  3. The only way we can end discrimination is for the student to talk to other student and ask them how would they would end discrimination on jokes, teacher/classroom discrimination and stereotypes.
  4. student would write down harassment that they know or  heard on these subjects on gender, sexual identity, racial ,income  and weight.

1. The project I am going to do is on the dresscode.

2.The dresscode is very important to the middle Eastern beacuse in their country they have to wear the dresscode to resprent the country. Another thing is that they have to wear the clothes to hide their face, hair, and their whole body. In the middle Eastern the dresscode is so seriuos because if they see you with out the thing you have on they will exucate you.

3. I know that people are discrimination of their race, weight, skin color, background, dresscode. The thing I list are good idea but I think the dresscode is an very important thing I list becuase the dresscode tell an alot about were you from.

4. Aother thing to know is that when they come form their country they will now have the right to speack out more they have in their country.

Question to student. How do you fell if someone made funny of you because you was an outside with your dresscode you wear in your country?

My project, is a schoolwide one on tolerance. a few ideas I have for that could be. an assembly of some sort, where people could introuduce themselves to someone new and share a few things about themselves and what they have in common, the main theme could be "we are the human race above all other" and Tolerance could be shown throughout the school with posters that motivate being tolerant. possitivity :D or people could share how being tolerant or untolerant has effected their life

My project is for the Class and it is on Diversity. As an elemtary class my students would  fist pick a partner to work with
1. the partners would split up and color the country they wish to identify with the colors of the flag.
2. write 3 facts about the culture
3. write teh language
4. pick 5 of their favorite words
5. bring in a food sample if possible or a picture of their ****ry
6. the final step would be for them to visit thier partners country on the map

purpose: for the children not only to learn abuot their culture but to experement and learn mopre about a forigne place on teh map.

a question for d3t0x: ahve you ever done a project like the one u posted?
