You can use the forum to coordinate efforts and research. The rubric is here: http://www.engineofsouls.com/file-37.pdf. Use the Brown University Choices packet as well as outside information. I'd like you to post any links that you use here in the format of an annotated bibliography.
You also might want to consider the following sites:
Again, some of the people you may want to consider are:
President Harry Truman (on trial, being prosecuted) President Franklin Roosevelt (testimony from the past)
Sec of War Henry Stimson
Scientist, J. Robert Oppenheimer
General Douglas MacArthur Scientist, Leo Szilard Scientist, Albert Einstein Chief of Staff, General George Marshall Japanese Foreign Minister, Shigenori Togo Japanese Emperor Hirohito General Lesley Groves, in charge of Manhatten Project Pilots on the Enola Gay, dropping the bomb Civilians in Hiroshima and Nagasaki who were survivors http://www.inicom.com/hibakusha/,
Pam, I think the prosecutor would want the survivors, since they could add their personal accounts of the horrors they faced to make it seem like I made an awful decision.
So who really looked at the rubric. Because this is just the witness piece to get an A
Witnesses who want an A as a grade will prepare everything for two different characters. They will also act out both of these during the trial. Witnesses conduct research on their characters, including full details about themselves and their situation. They have an excellent understanding of the events, people and issues of the war. Witnesses also do a great job of acting out their specific roles while being questioned and cross examined by the lawyers. They also appear in the dress of their roles. Witnesses submit their affidavits to the judge containing all their information, their positions on the issues (explained fully) and their trial interviews (transcripts) with their lawyers. Witnesses also submit their research on their role in a three page typed report.
Pam, I read it. I probably should have brought it up like you did to make sure everyone knew, sorry all. I don't have it in me to adequately research and fill two roles, but if anyone does, power to them.
Thats okay Greg. I know I don;t have the power to do two roles or act so I think I'm switching to jury. Though it seems like i'm just running from the work. Lol, lazy me.
I'm Going to be General Leslie Groves for one of my characters.
My second character will be Paul Tibbits, pilot of the Enola Gay.

James, the defense would greatly appreciate it if instead of being Paul Tibbits, you were Glenn Frazier, a survivor of the Bataan Death March and 3 years as a POW. Frazier is one of the people interviewed in The War. http://www.pbs.org/thewar/detail_5171.htm
Two Things: One. If you had gotten to me earlier Zack, I would've done Glenn Frazier, however, as things stand I don't have the drive to re do the research and work I already put into Tibbets. Sorry. Two. What goes in the affadavit? I have no clue how to go about writing/making it.
Would Julius Robert Oppenheimer be a good prosecution witness?
Yes and no. Oppenhemer was directly involved in the Interim Committee which sanctioned military contro of the bomb. He did not have problems with the bomb being dropped on Hiroshima. He just wanted to make sure it would work. It was only after the war,by 1949 and 1950 that he opposed the building of the hydrogen bomb.
